um, out of money for the mount, lol.
It will be a bit before I take it out to shoot, like I said above, out of cash, but I have it all setup like I want and that was half the battle.

I was out of money for my scope mount so I took out a second mortgage on my house to get the Larue mount. Welll worth the paperwork.

Yes, I think the LaRue is going to be it... Not sure what model yet, this scope has a 6" eye relief so I think I will have to mount it in from of the rear sight, so maybe the SPR-E will be needed (I am Not a nose on charging handle shooter and stock will be extended). Anyone have thoughts on that? I'll play around with a ruler and see what I get in a measurement.

Ah, flipping nice stick and in before the Santa!
And yep get yourself an extended mount so you can get that scope as forward as necessary. Is quick release/detach a nescessity for your mount?

I think so. Believe it or not... I played with the scope on top of the lower I can see the front sight, it is a bit blurry, but I can see it. Would I want to look at the sights when the scope was mounted, no, I don't think a good shot could be made. Fast release I think is needed for "me" because "just in case" and for ease of removal of the scope if needed.

Nice Boomstick Steve!
I like your "ultralight" scope mount...
What rail covers are those?

How's the 1x setting on your new scope, is it actually a 1x or a smidge magnified?
Looks like you need to keep an eye out for a LaRue.

MrSteve,
Just send that dude to KY, I'll be more than happy to shoot it for you while you save up for ammo. It'll help you out because you'll get a nice broken in barrel and when you have the extra cash I'll send it back..LOL

I can see the front sight, but it's blurry, the scope is a 1.25 on the low setting (specs 1.25-8x32) . Yes, looks like the LaRue SPR-E, the "E" because the scope has a 6" eye relief and I think it could have to sit in front of the rear sight (I'll figure it out if I really need the E before I have money to buy a mount).

Sounds good, I'll give it to Santa to drop off to you, but I bet he would keep it for himself
