Well my "best" friend is a real stickler on accurate guns, and he was going to put a scope on MY Bison upper for me before deer season. I never got the upper back but I did get a check for it!

Come to find out that the upper I got from BCM awhile back just doesn't fit good on my LMT lower that I have saved for this build. The Mega forged upper on my 556 SPR fits like a glove on the LMT so I'll have to order another Mega from Rainier.

One thing I noticed about the bead blasted finish is that it makes the barrel look fatter in pic's than a black or shiny SS barrel, when I took the pic's of all 4 of my rifles the new 6.8 barrel that's bead blasted(figured it would be better for hunting than shiny SS) looks much larger compared to the SS barrel on my .223 but really they are almost identical size at the muzzle end.

I love the Mega upper receiver I built my 6.8 upper with, I had thought about sending it back because it didn't have the T# markings on the top rail but I'm glad I kept it. It fit my barrel ext. like a glove with a nice tight fit and there is hardly any movement at all on my DPMS 6.8 lower(Mega lower ordered today to match upper) so I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Mega upper for any type of build as their parts are real quality parts unlike some of these so called Mil. Spec parts we get from some places.
