Default Re-Drilling a barrel for FSB

I have a Sabre 1:7 5.56 barrel that I tried to put an FSB on. The barrel was pre-drilled for the FSB, but the FSB I have will not come close to the holes that were pre-drilled.
Is there anything I should know about before attempting to redrill holes into this barrel to fit the FSB?

If using and A2 or F height fsb, just drill and tap the fsb for 5 set screws. 4 on the sides and 1 underneath. It will not go anywhere and gives you a Windage adjustable fsb so you can get your mechanical zero the same as your no-wind zero. I run this set up and have zero concerns.

Fear is just excitement in need of an attitude adjustment

Good idea. Only issue is, the guy I'm building it for is looking for a "close as possible" retro look.
