    the junior drill instructor of my recruit platoon met him and the author of "we were soldiers", later he got back together with the author who had written another book dealing with the commanders from both sides meeting, he got me a copy of that book signed by the author.

    that was big gunfight General Moore was involved in, he handled his troops well. Godspeed

    They don't make them like that anymore. Gen. Moore and Sgt. Plumley were the epitome of American heroes.
