Mission Statement

Ironworks Tactical Training Program seeks to provide a focus on the fundamentals of marksmanship to the firearm community. We do this by providing instruction that focuses on fundamentals as the building blocks on which all other advanced techniques are based. Our goal is to make everyone who shoots with us the safest, proficient and most accurate shooter they can be.

Course Descriptions

Pistol Fundamentals:

-A one day pistol course focused on safety and accuracy. Covered in this course are the fundamentals of marksmanship. To include, firearms safety, loading and unloading, stance, grip, sight alignment/sight picture and trigger control.

- Each class will have a maximum of 10 Students per class with 3 instructors, creating a high instructor to student ratio.
-Expected round count: Minimum of 500 rounds, 600 preferred.
-Required Equipment: handgun with 3 magazines, belt mounted holster, belt mounted mag pouch, eye and ear protection, closed toe shoes (prefer athletic shoes or hiking shoes, boots). Please no chest rigs and plate carriers, battle belts are ok.
Cost: On Sale for $175 and includes Range fees p

Intermediate/Advanced Handgun Skills:

-A one day pistol course focused on advanced handgun skills. Covered in this course are the fundamentals of marksmanship. To include, firearms safety, loading and unloading, stance, grip, sight alignment/sight picture and trigger control. This course is designed to allow the student to proceed to a more intermediate or advanced level through shooting drills, while still focus on accuracy and safety.

- Pre-requisite: Pistol Fundamentals
-Each class will have a maximum of 10 Students per class with 3 instructors, creating a high instructor to student ratio.
- Expected round count: Approximately 600 rounds
-Required Equipment: handgun with 3 magazines, belt mounted holster, belt mounted mag pouch, eye and ear protection, closed toe shoes (prefer athletic shoes or hiking shoes, boots). Please no chest rigs and plate carriers, battle belts are ok.

Everyday Carry Pistol (EDC):

-A one day introduction to the concept of handgun concealed carry. Covered in this course are the fundamentals of pistol marksmanship to include; firearm safety, loading and unloading, stance, grip, sight alignment/sight picture and trigger control. Also covered are concealed carry concepts, techniques and mindset with a focus on drawing and implementing the handgun from concealment.

- Pre-requisite: Pistol Fundamentals
-Each class will have a maximum of 10 Students per class with 3 instructors, creating a high instructor to student ratio.
- Expected round count: Approximately 550 rounds
-Required Equipment: handgun with 3 magazines, concealment holster, concealment mag pouch, eye and ear protection, closed toe shoes (prefer athletic shoes or hiking shoes, boots). Please no chest rigs and plate carriers, battle belts are ok.

Instructor Bios

Jonathan (Lead Instructor)

Jonathan C. has over 22 years of federal law enforcement and military experience, including extensive instructional experience with both domestic and foreign militaries and law enforcement agencies. Most recently Jonathan has served as a lead firearms and tactics instructor for a federal law enforcement counter terrorism training program. While there, he developed and implemented basic and advanced training courses focused on handgun concealment and tactical deployment, including close quarters combat.

Brett C.

Brett has over 18 years of federal law enforcement and military experience, where he has extensive instructional experience with domestic law enforcement and military agencies. He has served in the United States Air Force and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom. Brett has also served as a lead instructor for an advanced federal law enforcement counter-terrorism training program. There he taught basic and advanced training courses focused on counter terrorism as well as assisting the Lead Firearms Instructor in teaching basic and advanced firearm employment. He also developed and implemented many other similar curriculums during his tenure as an instructor.

Jeff B.

Jeff B. has over 6 years of operational experience with a federal law enforcement agency with a focus on counter terrorism. During that time he has worked domestically and internationally in both a covert and overt role, where he served in a multi-agency task force that included working with the USCG, ICE, BP, FBI, Amtrak SOU, LASD CTU and OCSD. Part of his role required extensive training in NBC (Nuclear Biological Chemical), PRND (Preventative Radiological and Nuclear Detection), WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) and site vulnerability assessment. He also has been trained in Close Quarters Combat and Tactics as well as is continuously training in Gracie BJJ, Muay Thai and Wrestling.
