Wanting to pig hunt

Hello, I am waiting for my Extreme. In the mean time Im looking for a place to hunt Pigs. My main reasoning in buying the weapon was to hunt and provide food for my family. The problem Im seeing is the costs of going hunting. I wanted to do this to save money as opposed to buying meat. I live in Kern County, California. Bakersfield. My only sorce of shooting funds come from my portait painting sales and its been slow. Anyone have any info for free areas to hunt or own land and maybe open to a trade. Id like to bring home a couple pigs and or deer for the freezer. Thank you for any helpfull info.
