    Or more frequently, Estimated Time of Arrival.

    I always thought that SPR stood for Short Precision Rifle, but I guess I guessed wrong.

    Ammo Abbreviations:

    HP-Hollow Point
    BTHP- Boat Tail Hollow Point (Boat Tail refers to the tapering at the rear of the bullet which aids in accuracy in long term flight)
    SP- Soft Point
    OTM- Open Tip Match
    FP-Flat Point
    SPB- Small Primered Brass
    LPB- Large Primered Brass

    PH- ProHunter (Sierra 110gr Bullet)
    ARSM- AR Short Magnum
    BC- Ballistic Coefficient (Scientific Term used to describe how aerodynamic a bullet is. The lower the number, the greater effect outside forces exert on the bullet. The higher the number, the less it is effected by wind, air, etc.)


    Firearm Abbreviations:
    BCG- Bolt Carrier Group
    GB- Gas Block
    FH-Flash Hider
    SS- Stainless Steel
    CL- Chrome Lined
    CM- Chrome Moly
    FF-Free Float ( Term used to Describe a fore end that is not connected to the barrel, but only connected to the Receiver)
    NM- Nation Match (Commonly used to describe upgraded triggers made for accuracy)
    LPK- Lower Parts Kit (Set of parts used to complete a stripped lower receiver)
    H-BAR- Heavy Barrel
    BB- Bull Barrel
    03C&R- Curios and Relics (Federal Firearms License issued to collectors)
    03 FFL- Federal Firearms License (Gun Dealer)
    SBR- Short Barreled Rifle (Rifle with barrel shorter than 16 inches and properly approved through the ATF)
    AOW- Any Other Weapon (Weapon Classification by the ATF)
    BATF- Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms
    ATF- See above
    FCG- Fire Control Group (Trigger, Hammer and related Springs)
    BUIS- Back Up Iron Site
    RDS- Red Dot Scope/Site
    DI- Direct Impingement (See Below)



    Other Notable and common used Abbreviation:
    BRD- Black Rifle Disease (Its Highly Contagious, Beware!)
    SHTF- **** Hit The Fan (When the zombies Et al Attack)
    .mil_- Of or pertaining to the Military
    Mil-spec- Military Specifications
    WOA- White Oak Armament

    A helpful post! Here's some more:

    IIRC = If I Remember Correctly
    NC = Nitro Carburized (Melonite/Tenifer, etc.)
    SMK = Sierra Match King
    RDIAS = Registered Drop In Auto Sear ("Low Shelf" lower receivers will accept them)

    Apparently it was low enough!

    How well does it work anyway (not mechanically, but reliability wise)?
