    Default Leupold Prismatic

Has anyone used or even seen one of the new Leupold Prismatic scopes? It sounds like it would be good on the AR platform, with illumination module, etched glass reticle so no illumination is needed, generous field of view, true 1x optics, 1/2 MOA adjustments. I have several Leupold scopes that have served me well and I'm seriously looking at a Prismatic to go on my AR. Any info will be appreciated.

Pricey...for what it is, but anything labled "tactical" seems overpriced these days. Governments have had lots of money to throw at things tactical since 9/11. I've thought about this Leupold product too. $100 less and I'd probably feeling pretty positive about trying it. Sooo.has anyone even seen one of these let alone used one? Thanks,

This optic was designed for LE agencies that did not want optics that rely on batteries. It isn't for everyone. An Aimpoint, EOTech, or the new Reflex are much better choices.

I have one on my 458 SOCOM. It is a nice scope, very clear, with quick target acquisition. Very nice daytime scope and works okay at night with spot light. Biggest downfalls are no way to use a magnifier, limited eye relief(must be placed like regular scope), and no way to use night vision in front of it. It works great on the 458 as most of my shots are under 100 yards. Like Paulos said the Aimpoint and EOtech are better choices for the 6.8.
