    Default LWRC velocity report

I cronoed some factory loads through my 16" LWRC yesterday. The SSA 85 TSX average right around 3050 fps and the 115 OTM commercial load was at 2450 fps. All the loads have good standard deveation and extreme spreads. The LWRC seems to prefer the 115 OTM load but the velocity was pretty low. I may get some of the combat loads 115 OTM. Anyway, the 85 TSX are darn fast! I do not think you can get that fps out of a handload.

The 115gr OTM's combats should give you about 2550 from the 16" barrel. For commerical loading 2450 is average.

The commercial loads are for the Boys who can not handle the Tactical (combat) loads. DPMS.model one's and the like or for guy's who do not want to push things hard, hell I shot them all the time. The numbers are spot on.

Actually I am getting 3167fps from the 85 TSX handloaded from 16" barrel and expect to break 3200 this next week.

Yes, I hope to get out and develop a few good 1 MOA loads that will work with all of the Xtreme barrels.
To most of the civilian/ non LE owners 3000-3200 makes little difference, on the other side of the coin 3200fps could push the 6.8 over the top for some agencies in certain circumstances.

Hitman, your home state isn't listed. At what outside temperature and elevation were these taken? Thanks.

I must have forgot to do that. I am in Albuquerque, NM. Where I shoot is 5600 feet and it was around 60 that day and sunny.
