Default Anyone with experience with the Horus HDMR scope and TReMoR2 reticle?

    Hi folks,
I am looking at this new scope that will allow me fast correction and follow-up from the 6.5BR AR15 platform and I want to know
if anyone has any experience with the new Horus HDMR scope and the new Tremor2 reticle.
The whole thing seems very well thought out and while the system will not be mainly dedicated to any competition or tactical matches we like
to shoot the steel at 800 to 1100 yards occasionally when we get a chance

    Thanks.

I tried it but didnt care for the unequal spacing of the Mil hashes. I also thought that wind dots made it too busy. I understand the system and thin for someone who wants to take the time to learn it may work out well for them. But range trips for me are so far in between that i felt I would forget how to use the reticule.

I stuck with the H59 and really like it, if you need more range there is the H37.

    Wow! thanks! that looks busy!
I agree with you and I guess I have to research more. According to Todd Hodnett ( same creator of the H58 and H59) the tremor2, although it seems busy, it is not busy at all and shooters can estimate range and hold for elevation and wind in a few seconds.

Yeah a lot of people think the H59 is busy, its all personal preference. I can see how someone that has time to study and shoot with the tremor can benefit from it. The biggest problem I had with it is the wind dots each dot is a different hold depending on the caliber. For example I think for a 5.56 each dot is 3mph and for a .308 they are 4. So I can see how you can make quick adjustments with it but if you know your rifle you can make the same call with typical milling. One thing to keep in mind about the wind dots is if you dial any elevation it messes them up. For every 5 mils you dial they get cut in half.

They spaced the mils unequally to aid in distance estimation which is something I haven't even began to touch on in my shooting. They tell me the 2 farthest berms are 750yds and 1000yds so I'll trust them on that.

Check out snipers hide that was the only place I found that had any sort of explanation when I was looking into it.

I will. Many thanks. The Bushnell G2 might do the trick but you cannot never have too many tools I guess. Then the other problem is how to take full advantage from them.

It looks like the Bushnell G2 is the less cluttered and still pretty useful. But when looking at the others the G25 seems the easiest yet more comprehensive for general prupose.

HEre some additional info. If anyone used this one please let me know.
What I am worry about is not the complexity but how fine the lines and marks in the stadia are so they do not interfere too much with the picture.
In the little representation tool they have online they look acceptable but there is no real telling about how the feel unless you look through one of them.

Please keep in mind I am looking for 99.9% holdover something new for me to try with an AR15 special caliber and a bit of a departure and challenge at the same time from the traditional manual correction.

This is the link to the little simulation they have online with the multipurpose reticle. This goes into some of the mil mil models (I think)...

I love the NXS MLR but this time H25 it is. After some more studying and recommendations from other forums as well I have decided to give them a try.
The basics are all the same so if the reticle tracks the way they say it does, it should be much faster than dial in.

....If ya don't try ya might never know .
