Yeah Rat I would have to have some serious range time to prove to myself it would hold zero taking them off and on repeatedly, I just don't believe it.

I've used the PEPR and several types of bolt on and QD rings, and as long as you make sure you're in the right rail slot and push the mount forward against the front of the slot before tightening they are very close to zero. To test how close the return to zero is I shoot a five-shot group, remove the optic, put the optic back on, then fire another five-shot group at a different target. Do that a few times and you'll be able to see how well the mount works. If you square your receiver faces you can usually swap scopes between uppers and be close to zero.

I've always wanted to try this but 1st I need to get the money for the QD mount. does it really make a difference on which T mark you use? I figure if it's all square/level it would only change eye relief?

thinking of getting a burris PEPR QD or if I save up longer a ARMS one, I want to be able to swap on my red dot for my magnified scope. I also have to make it to the range to be able to even zero them both. I started a job as a salesman and man it is a rough gig so no new toys atm. I figured solar in hawaii would sell itself but apparently not even when we install can get them started for nothing, oh well. WHEN I sell my 1st system, I'll buy my QD mount and make it a point to hit the range for some testing!

If it works you have to have 2 separate QD mounts just to try it. Someday, I guess, would help if my range was not a 4 hr round trip all day event
