Some times the way you have your gun set up can show what you think is high pressure. A long chamber, rounded type ejector, being over gassed and not the right buffer and buffer spring setup. Add all four together and you will think your running hot when your not.

According to my chrono 28.8grs of AA2200 with Hornady 110 BTHPs is not much hotter than the factory Hornady 110 BTHP loads.

I have three 6.8 guns. One gun showed real bad swipes when the other two looked fine with the same load. I changed out the rounded ejector for the flat type and added a Tubs SSS buffer spring and closed down the gas port a little. The bad swipes went away.

Actually, going back to my notes I loaded to 28.8 with A2200, H110 bthp's, SSA brass and CCI41's at 2.290 COL with sub MOA accuracy but hot for my gun.

I have a Tubbs spring, heavy buffer, Keis adjustable gas block on my ARP. I may have to check the ejector.

Can someone point me to a flat type ejector?

I changed my ejector from one that came from a Stag bolt. It drove me nuts to have swipes from a barrel that was suppose to be better but the primers looked fine.
