For the 6.8 fluted barrels, are they the same price or will they cost more? I would like to get one for a build in doing for my girls.

Sorry but they cost more, it takes the lathe apx 30 min to flute the barrels. Most companies charge $20/flute or $120. WOA about 7 years ago charged me $240 to flute a barrel.

I'm wondering about this too. I think I'll do the 6mmAR. I would probably buy a receiver for a .458 or something from maybe Wilson Combat.

I've been shooting a 6BRX (.100 longer than a 6BR) for about 3 years, it works fine with a standard port. No need to buy a special or expensive receiver.

I have made 308 bolts before and have been trying to get parts to build 308 bolts...waiting on Armalite for 5 months so far.
Armalite are the only good ones I know of, don't know who makes Larues, Knight and LMT should be ok too. Most AR10 bolts are 8620 but they are so big they don't break.

One thing you have to watch out for with AR10/308 builds. Not all hammers are long/high enough so the carrier doesn't push them down enough to engage the sear. Armalite's carriers have a V bottom to help the problem.

Armalite and DPMS bolts have the same headspace...length of lug minus the depth of the recess.
