    Default Sell A Selection ....... ???

Wishing that SSA would sell a selection of their 6.8 ammo. For the people like me that just got their 6.8 and will not tool up to reload this chambering,I would love to see SSA sell a box of several different loads. For me personally it would be the 85,95,and 110's,all in the Tac loadings. It would be even better if you could call and order your choice in 5 or 10 packs.

I'm sure that there are issues that would preclude SSA from doing this. Probably some labeling issues, maybe some BATFE issues, maybe some liability issues. I also understand that SSA is in business to make money. There theory could be....."we already do that....just buy one box of each offering". Anyway......I simply feel that this would make it easier for the shooters that would love to try several different offerings from SSA. --- pruhdlr

I do believe that a couple of the bullet manufacturers do this for the reloaders.

And.......can I hi-jack my own thread ?? Has anyone done any compairasons for accuracy only between like offerings from SSA in the regular load vs. the Tacticle load. Saaaaaay....the 85TSX Tac vs the 85TSX reg. Same with the 95TTSX and the 110TSX. Would be interested in the overall accuracy from one to the other. For us handloaders usually the fastest isn't the most accurate. --- pruhdlr

    Default Accuracy on TAC loads

I found the TAC loads by SSA to be more accurate in the 95 Grain TTSX and 115 Grain HPBT and the Barnes Frag 95 Grain. I hand load and have not found that the max cap loads are the most accurate.

Out of my 18" Barrel 1/10 twist LWRC

    SSA 85 Grain Frags TAC
    ran 2801 - 2836

Handload with 29.5 Gains of RL7
    ran 2915 -2976- 2976-2982 -2985

I wouldn't mind seeing this as well. When I first got my 12.5" put together I shot what I had on hand, and haven't messed around with the other TSX offerings as the 85's proved to be very accurate. I'd like to try out the 100 and 110' as well as bullet performance impressed me with the 85.

There are some loads that I have found in my handload that are the most accurate on the top step of my work up. I have a nice 223 load that shoots less then 1/2 inch that is pushing a 69 gr bullet over 3000 fps out of my 24 inch RRA varmit rig. That's about as fast as I want to push anything in the 223 but that's what that rifle likes.

I also have a nice hot 6.8 nosler AB handload for hunting that is most accurate right at the top of the velocity edge. I find that most of my accurate loads are more mid range but there are exceptions.
