Have 2 RCBS w/ shellholders and a Universal. No major problems with them.
You could try the aps style. That will solve you flipping problem. I use a ram prime but i don't load the amount you load. I wish i had the time and money to shoot that much.
Next time you go to the range make some money. Just catch or retrieve your 6.8 brass and sell it.

Stingray: Check out the K&M and Sinclair hand priming tools. Benchrest shooters tend to use these precision priming tools. I use the K&M. Its slower than my previous Lee Autoprime tool, but when priming 40 or 50 cases, it doesn't take that long and I am sold on the precise feel. It also makes use of my extensive collection of Lee autoprime shellholders. - CW

I have the RCBS that uses shell holders. It works great. Very smooth and positive when seating the primer. Seats them all the way with little effort. Changing shell holders is a little fiddly but you get used to it. Never had a primer flip once the cover is on the tray.
I have been using this tool for a while now and I really like it. It's pretty damn fast and i get very uniform seating depth on the primers.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.- Benjamin Franklin
I use the RCBS with the shell holders too. I tape the tray closed.
Also, It got kind of clunky a while back and I thought maybe I had not removed the crimp all the way from some .556 brass but after fiddling with the brass a bit I took the hand primer apart, cleaned it and put a slight touch of grease on the ends of the pivot link and the follower. Voila! smooth as silk.
"You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream -- the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order -- or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path." -- Ronald Reagan
I use the new Lee and have no porblems at all.
I've used Lee and RCBS. RCBS is better than Lee, but not by much. These days, I use the Hornady LnL hand primer that has the ergonomic handle. It uses standard shell holders like you use in the single stage press, and the primer tray is reversible -- one side has the guide for large primers, and the other for small primers. Once you load the tray and lock down the cover, primers cannot flip over, and I have yet to have one jam in many thousands of cases. I have arthritis in my fingers and this is the only hand primer I can use for extended periods without cramping up.

I've heard good things about this tool, pricey though:
