Default Need a quick suggestion on 6.8 factory ammo for whitetail hunting

How about two recommendations actually...Cheap/Good and Price Don't Matter/Most AccurateAlso where do you purchase it from?

    Jesse,
For the price don't matter I love the 95TTSX and how it performs. You can get it from Silver State and Wilson Combat. If you get the combat/tac loads make sure you have a SPCII chamber. The 110 pro hunter 110 accubond and 85TSX are all great performers on game.
Probably the 110 PH will be on the "cheap" list. I have also taken a number of deer and hogs with the 90TNT.

Also, if you check out good to go ammo (banner at top) Scott makes some good accurate ammo at a good price.

I shot a 6 pt last year with SSA 110gr PH, worked well considering it was a bad shot on my part. I will be using the 100 and 110gr Accubonds this year.
6.8X43 for hunting, .264 GARP for targets.

Lots of guys around here (North GA) are using the Hornady 110 grain V-Max loads to hunt with. Nobody has reported a lost deer yet with them, but a couple have had bullets that failed to pass through. Deer died within eyesight though.

I am working up some Sierra 110 grain PH and Nosler 110 grain Accubond loads for my own personal hunting.

You might also look at the Hornady 120gr SST available from PSA for $19.95 per box. http://palmettostatearmory.com/index...box-of-20.html

I would go with the 95ttsx for all around hunting.

Also look at GTG ammo for deals or SSA when they have a bulk pack going.

Have you ever shot at Ladonia? If so you have met Scot with GTG.

Also congrats on the win at High plains this past weekend!!!!

For me it is 110 Hornady HPBT for accurate general use at a good price, and 110 Accubonds for hunting. Both shoot same POI for me and produce good numbers.

Factory ammo in SSA from various sources. Will probably order from Good To Go when I don't want to load this time.

SSA TAC Pro Hunters, or 120 SSTs from Hornady if you want cheaper.

There is more than just the 6.8, as it is SSA showing their hunting rounds.
