I'm sorry to say I haven't done any hunting for several years although I'm kinda getting the urge to go hog hunting with a supressed 6.8 and NV. In fact that's part of why I'm taking the 6.8 plunge. The last time I went hog hunting it was on a friends lease over around Yeehaw Junction.

I'm a trainer so I get plently of trigger time, but as it turns out I recently worked with a guy who's family owns some major acreage on Polk county and they are big hunters. The guy is also a neighbor so I may be able to leverage that into a hunt.

The range I train at is down in the eastern part of Manatee County in the middle of nowhere (Myakka City) and the hog population is pretty heavy in that whole area. I'm planning to try to get connected with some of the landowners down that way to get some hunting privileges. I'm sure that lots of them would like to have somebody thin out the wild pig herds on their land.

HTR runs multiple supressed 12.5" 6.8s w/NV at his ranch.He uses 95gr TSXs (expands down to 1600fps) out to 300yards on hogs. But, he uses a special proprietary powder blend.
