Default Early Father's Day, Thanks H

I came home from work today and to my surprise the Brown Truck came by and left me my Father's Day present. I open the box and a 16" 6.8 SPC Scout profile ARP Barrel was inside. I have been waiting for this barrel to be in stock since I joined the forum early this year.

I plan to build a Wilson Combat receiver gun with other high quality goodies, but I haven't decided quite yet what those parts will be. I can tell you one thing though YHM will not be seen on this gun. I plan to go with a Troy forearm which one ?????? and I was thinking about using Wilson's 2-stage match trigger.

    Thanks H
I am sure the wait will be well worth it. Now just to make up my mind and order the rest of my parts.

    Question for H,
Which go no go gauges you recommend to use with your barrels? Here is what I was looking at.

Next time you go to the range make some money. Just catch or retrieve your 6.8 brass and sell it.

don't get the PTG gauges, they suck

    get the Manson gauges: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=2...ADSPACE-GAUGES

I have both, and the PTG gauges don't work well, mine are loose, don't give good readings, Ben at Bison will attest to the same thing

as for a handguard, the Troy TRX Extreme is on several of my guns, love that hanguard, the Samson Evolution is also nice, I've got two of those

Well i got to shoot my fathers day present Sunday. I was getting 1.5" groups at 100. Very happy with the results and with more rounds through the tube it should settle down. I was shooting handloads but they where universal loads and not fine tuned to this barrel. Once i get the break-in done and work up a load i will post a range report. Yesterday was just a function test. I will also post pics of the build once i get the rest of my lwr parts in. Yesterday i used a lower off one of my guns. Thanks H for getting the barrel out to me super quick.
