Was at the Houston Gun Show past Week-end looking for AA2200 but didn't see any. I did get some CCI 41 primers. A dealer from Tennesse offering Military Surplus Powder M-842. He said it was comparable to H-335. Is anyone familar with this powder = cost was $89 for 8 pounds.

SR: For $40 more you can get an 8 lb jug of A2200 that know will deliver top performance in the 6.8. Here is some info from St Mark's web site about SMP-842. It may be too slow for the 6.8:

Green 5.56mm BALL POWDER® Propellant
Projectile 62.0 grain, 20" barrel
Propellant 5.56mm round Velocity(ft/s) Pressure(psi)
WC 844 Standard M855 3020 55,000
SMP® 842 Green 5.56mm 3020 54,200

• BALL POWDER® Propellant designed for lead-free projectiles and primers
• Propellant additives developed for barrel

FYI, while searching for info on "M-842" surplus powder, I came across this pdf document from the St Marks mill, dated 2006, detailing their product line of non-canister powders for OEM use. See page 12 where they list a powder called SMP 745, made specifically for the 6.8 SPC. After connecting the dots in my head, I'm wondering if Accurate Powders buys SMP 745 by the barrel and resells it in cannisters as A2200. I also found a MSDS sheet by Hodgdon saying SMP 745 is an OEM powder they distribute. Curious. - CW
