    Default Pronghorn

Couple years back I talked to H into building me a true custom top end. I had a specific mission in mind for this rifle, turbo goat. I didn't get the rifle in time for the 2010 season, and work required me thousands of miles away from home during the 2011 season. For 2012 I have drawn a private land tag in Colorado, south of Baggs Wyoming. I get to hunt with a group of my closest friends. Once everyone fills their tags, we'll drive north into WY and do it all over again. I very excited to bloody this rifle.

Now that sounds like one heck of a good hunt you all have planned. Nice looking rifle as well!
Okay, I'll shut up. Some fellas have to keep their tongues flappin' but not me. I was brought up right. My pa used to tell me to shut up and I'd shut up. I wouldn't say nothin'. One time darn near starved to death. WOULDN'T TELL HIM I WAS HUNGRY!!

Sounds very promising. Good luck with the hunt and report back on the slaughter. What loads are you planning to use?

Probably 95gr TTSX but I'll leave the door open for a 120gr SST. I run the TTSX above 3000 and the SST near 2600. The barrel likes both loads, it's slightly more accurate with the TTSX, at twice the cost.

I've shot antelope from 5y to 400y, you'll be well served by either ammo type. It's a great hunt. Most fun hunting I've ever done. Next time I get to go I'll use my 6.8, too.
