Most gun builders only sell complete rifles to registered ffl's. But you can still buy parts from their site. It is just the way the biz works. If you want cheaper guns look for ffl's who run a home based biz, their overhead is alot less and can work with you on the price.
Next time you go to the range make some money. Just catch or retrieve your 6.8 brass and sell it.

Rainier prices were always the same as on the Noveske site so far as I could tell.

As slammed as they are, I understand why they would want to consolidate a majority of sales through distributors.

I bought mine from a local dealer for the same price as Noveske sells for,and saved myself shipping and ffl. They even paid my background check.

NICS checks are free to ffl's. You are right if the ffl is a dealer they cannot markup more than what is listed.

I would try phoning in the order of the upper \ rifle you want. On one page its says"Ordering: Orders can be placed by phone and online store. " Then on their contact page it has their phone number of: (541) 479-6117

Only items that are in stock will be able to be ordered from our website. If we don't have it in stock we will send you to one of our dealers that hopefully has it in stock.

We have several dealers with online stores if you don't have or don't want to go to a local dealer.
