    Default AR accuracy question

I know there is no one component that makes an accurate rifle. But what is order of importance? Good match barrel, BCG, upper, trigger? And if someone was able to get all good quality products, does it take a gunsmith to assemble them to make a good shooting rifle?

I would have to rate barrel and trigger first on the list together, along with the trigger puller. Putting one together isn't that hard and "can" be just as accurate provided you are using top quality parts. Now if you are talking custom and high dollar, ie: GAP, etc. you may not get quite that accurate.

With the barrel being at or near the top, how would you compare a Willson Match barrel, against a ARP barrel. I know H has put a lot of blood sweat and tears into his barrels.

I could not speculate as I have not shot either barrel.

When comparing top brands the accuracy isn't going to be much different from barrel to barrel. It's the other things that are going to affect your choice. Material, chamber type, twist, profile, and fluting are going to be your deciding factors for what brand you are going to choose. From what I've read online, I like nitro carb barrels because they are supposed to be the least likely to wear, so I went with ARP. Now If I wanted a stainless barrel, I would look to Wilson Combat, or Bison Armory. It all depends on what you want as far as features go, not so much the accuracy.

Barrel, Optic, Trigger, Free Floating Hand guard, bi-pod, If your counting accessories that add in to the equation. There's not much to putting an upper together. If you have minimal hand skills and can follow simple instructions, you can put together a sub moa rifle.
