Got one in last week
I must say, I am pretty impressed with it
true 1x, glass is better than a TR24 and it is much better in very low light than I would have hoped for, even at 6x

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.- Benjamin Franklin
SWFA is teasing with a 1x6 too, sub 1k, any guess $$ wise where the Leopold will land?
30HRT, what a 300BO wants to be when it grows up!
TY
$800 and looks like in stock. SWFA having a face book thang, with enough likes I think the SWFA 1x6 will get $200 lighter. I can't wait for a head to head review before I spend any cash.
LEUPOLD is 2nd focal plane and the SWFA is 1st
I am testing a different Reticle than is what is currently available...

The Leupold has got rave reviews and been compared favorably with scopes that cost 3 to 4 times as much and it is made in the USA by Leupold. What does SWFA make?
As for Leupold and SWFA, the Glass probably comes from overseas.
SWFA has some good bang for the buck scopes as well as Leupold. The SWFA with a first focal plane and the right reticle could be a nice scope too. With both of them almost in the same price point, quaility of glass matters, WHERE are the reviews? Soon I'm sure!!!!!
Leupold has US factories and the VX-6 has been identified as made in the USA, if not its still made by a US company. Many of the other so called "optical" companies, own no factories in the US or anywhere, they are just importers that order up stuff from generic optical manufacturers in asia with their name on it. Anyone can do the same thing, walk down the asia aisle at the SHOT show, pick any booth tell them what you want and the name you want on it and poof you are an optical company. In fact "glass", lens grinding, lens coatings, aluminum, brass, etc.etc.etc., come from lot of places in the world, so almost nothiing is 100% from one country anymore, but if I have a choice, I will invest my US$ with American manufacturers, that might give it back to me someday, rather than putting in the pocket of some asia company that is laughing about dumb Americans are.
