    Default Have a Glock 30SF. Want a 2nd Glock. Another .45 or a 9mm for practicing with?

I am trying to decide between a 2nd Glock. Should I get a Glock 21 or 17? I could shoot more with the cheaper ammo but like the .45 (bullet is twice the size/weight of the 9). Will a 9mm be a good trainer for a .45?

I own both, and like them both. Glocks are fairly inexpensive so I suggest you buy both. As for which one to buy first, I would probably go with the 17. The 9mm is cheaper to feed and shoots very well.

I sold my 30 because the size difference between it and the 21 was not as significant as I thought. Though the G30 was easily the most accurate Glock i've owned. When they bring out the Gen 4 30 I'll probably buy another one.

I think I'll get the 17 and maybe get a 21 later. I'm keeping the 30SF for sure! I'm hoping my wife will like the 17 enough to become proficient with it and actually want to shoot.

I see you are outside the U.S., so concealed carry isn't an option for you. Also look at the G19. However, the G17 is pretty hard to beat. I own a couple of G21s, a G20, G29, G17, and carry a G26 daily. (Here in the States, we can legally carry)

For fun inexpensive prectice instead of a second gun I suggest you look at the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit.

I have one of the kits for my G20 10mm it is a hoot to shoot...
