Yeah, I remember having to do that a few times during a shotgun qualification many moons ago. It makes sense for pistola retention drills/close up and personal defensive while backing away and such. Hey don't dis Chris Costa lol he's like chuck Norris but with an AR! LolWell, it's still cool to shoulder fire and turn the weapon 90 deg, cases flying up in the air(I'm right handed) is very cool, and it's current gangster. It looks good on youtube when firing over a car too!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I remember doing it with an M16 at Fort Polk during basic training in the 60's, left hand extended down, stock below right elbow, moving at walking pace and shooting
