I have a 16 threaded and a 20 crown. I think a 18 crown would be a great addition to the collection. You can count me in for 2.
Next time you go to the range make some money. Just catch or retrieve your 6.8 brass and sell it.

    300 AAC Blackout Chambering Cancelled:

Some time ago, Savage announced it would be chambering the Model 10 Precision Carbine in 300 AAC Blackout. Since that time, we have tested many variants of this cartridge in various barrel lengths and rates of twist. This exhaustive testing left us quite unsatisfied with the accuracy we were able to get from the subsonic loads in this chambering. Accuracy with the lighter, faster loads in this caliber was actually quite good. But we believe the real value in this cartridge lies in the use of subsonic loads for suppressed rifles. Therefore we have decided to scrap the project.
It is our understanding that pushing these heavy, slow bullets presents challenges not found in typical loadings and that our experience is not unique. Subsequently, many in the industry have simply adopted a lower standard for accuracy for these subsonic loads. While this does seem reasonable and we don't criticize any in our industry that have taken this approach, it just won't work for Savage.
Our brand was built on accuracy and we are too protective of our reputation for building the most accurate factory rifles available. We would rather walk away from this opportunity than sell a product that requires an explanation.

Hoague overmolded forearm, don't need or want a cheese grater on a whitetail rifle, with a single rail gas block for a backup buis.

Another vote for the 18" target crown. Make the target crown available on a 18" 264LBC 4150 barrel while your at it.

Since we are all making a wish list, how about a 20 inch, target crown, with a straight flute on both sides of the gasblock. I know you said you can time it, but hay it's a wish list right.

I like the idea of more barrel at the same OAL, but why not just ship it with a nice looking thread protector as a std config? That way people can feel like they have the option for threaded attachments down the road if they ever decide to go that way. I'm sure lots of people would like to get a can "one of these days".

In my computer industry days, upgradability was a HUGE selling factor in consumers choice, in spite of the fact that research showed that <6% ever actually upgraded anything after buying. People like having options.

I agree with OdDuMet. Offer the barrels with a thread protector and maybe everybody wins. Also waiting for several barrels to come back in stock, tax money burning a hole in my pocket. Good luck with the move

    +1
    Me too
I'd like an 18" ARP .223 Wilde with mid gas too If there were such an offering too. 18 inch barrels have an appeal to me in particular.

18" melonite, target crown, and some fluting whether it be straight or spiral. Was gonna get the 16" but may have to wait a little longer now, well I guess I am already waiting.
