    Default Acacdemy has 6.8 Spc

This might not pertain to everybody on the forum, but there are alot of San Antonio shooters here. The academy by the forum shopping center in Selma has alot of 6.8 ammo. Its not the umc 6.8 but the hornaday 110gr V max for $23 a box. This is the cheapest and most abundant I have found in town. For what it's worth I did call academy about the Remington UMC round and they are supposed to be getting them again at the end of the month. They are $18 a box.

Way to go Academy. I'm supposedly getting one less than two miles from my house.

It would be nice if some of our shops here in Indiana could stock 6.8mm ammo. So far my badgering of my local shop owners hasn't gotten me anywhere. Moving to Texas is starting to look good!

Give them the printout and tell them about the new Federal and Tula developments

Awesome! thanks Harris Hawker..As I just bought the last 3 boxes of Hornaday 110 V Max at the 2 stores (Academy) in North Austin..they have plenty of Remington for $29 a box.
I only buy for the brass to reload. Next stop is Cabela's in Buda (which has an abundance of Berger VLD 130 grain bullets)
I would rather have a bottle in front of me..than a pre-frontal lobotomy..

I bought 3 boxes of the 115g MC Remington at Academy for the brass and plinking. The factory loads were only 2+" MOA but the brass has been very good with my reloads.

So I have been on a mission for the Remington 6.8 spc umc rounds. Cabelas in buds showed on line an ammo box of 100 for $80. So I went to cabelas to make a sacrifice of many $20s to them. But alas it was not to be. They don't offer it anymore. So the reason I added this to the academy thread is cause of an odd coincidence. I called academy customer support and asked about their umc ammo. They only had some in college station and absolutely none in the warehouse. Fast forward to cabelas. I ask when they are supposed to get their single boxes back. They have none anywhere, I mean they don't exist anymore. He says they are SUPPOSED to get some in, but he has no clue as to when or where. So WTF?!I just wanted them for the range cause every one has the $25 and $30 dollar box. When I find the SOB buying the cheap ammo I am gonna.....Be very rude!So I am just trying to help my fellow 6.8ers find cheap local ammo.

Midland, TX sucks. Academy doesn't carry it and the only gun store that does charges $26/box for Hornady Vmax and BTHP. Palmetto State has free shipping on $50+ orders, so I got 3 boxes of 120 gr SST for $59.
