ATK, if you guys are seeing this, please make an affordable, brass-cased American Eagle loading with a 100gr. FMJ or BTHP projectile. $12.99 or less a box. It will sell out constantly.
    + 87!!

On another note, trust me, you will see a 90 grain Gold Dot, but then the big question is, what's next? American Eagle 100 FMJ, OR 100 TBBC / SOST?? Wow, things are really getting good.

Zero interest in a Partition here. It was a bullet ahead of its time, but with the current bonded or monolithic bullets, the Partition is a premium price without the need. No doubt it still performs well, but there are better bullets for less bucks.

They need a cheap American Eagle option first, the Fusion they already designed would make a good inexpensive hunter, and their 90 gr Gold Dot in a premium lineup plus maybe a 110 Trophy Bonded BearClaw for working ammo. The American Eagle would be the shooter's stockpile though.

Hahaha I know!!! Along with our recent win in the suppressor department, I'm ecstatic. These truly are exciting times... I couldn't be happier. Plus, I got my engraved lowers back today. WIN!

    Agree on the partition,

I've asked them to consider making either ballistic tipped projectiles, HP's or FMJ's, instead of exposed lead tips. We certainly don't need any more of those, unless they say that is the least expensive to manufacture. The fusion has a flat meplat and would not have exposed lead.

They already know the market needs "training" ammo, but they are purpose building the new ammo to work in LWRCI's proprietary rifle as part of the initial promotion.

Quoted for truth! Federal is big enough to actually meet the demand lower cost ammo will have. They better hurry though and beat PMC and Tula to market.

I know a bit about why companies come out with new products, engineering time and tooling are expensive overhead, so unless they are certain that there is a market NOW, it will get put on the "consideration" list. If even 10 people request the EXACT SAME THING, that is HUGE, if 10 people all insist that they need 10 DIFFERENT 6.8 loads, it will actually work against you. I wouldn't get to specific on what bullet etc., In my experience something like a "reasonably priced plinker round" is whats going to get the most response. Once they have to tooling for making brass and it sells, then all the other loads will follow. I'd be thrilled to get FC bulk FMJ or OTM ala the Lake City 5.56 and I'd buy a thousand rounds TODAY, most hunters shoot less than a box per YEAR of hunting ammo.

Agreed! Here's what I wrote to Federal:

I read a thread on 68forums.com that Federal may introduce a 6.8 SPC cartridge. I sure hope this is not an unsubstantiated rumor.

I would love for Federal to produce a reasonably priced plinker round for the 6.8 SPC and I'm sure if you were to do so it would sell extremely well!

Thanks for reading and I would appreciate a response as to whether or not there is any truth to this Federal 6.8 ammo offering.

I just like another resource for the 6.8, period. Brass itself would be just fine, but loaded rounds would be good, too. They may try something with the heavier than 90's with the Speer bullets, too.
    Capere altum!
