Just this morning DHS set up a surprise checkpoint at one of the busiest bridge tunnels in the country.

Not telling anyone about this made thousands of people late to work. But that's not the point. WHY ARE THERE FEDERAL CHECKPOINTS POPPING UP ON OUR INTERSTATES? The state police have jurisdiction here and our Virginia State Troopers do a fine job of patrolling the roads. I wanted to see where you guys are on this, because at first it was just airports. I asked my mother, a big time TSA agent, why should I have to give up my rights as a US Citizen to fly on an airplane. She said it was just a little give and take to ensure everyone's safety. I said, ok, I won't fly. Now, I haven't talked to her yet. But she's got some explaining to do. Supposedly there are to be 35 VIPER Teams conducting random illegal searches at random points across the country. Does anyone know where this will lead if left unchecked? I'm just asking because there are a lot of military and law enforcement on this board and you guys are in charge of keeping law breakers out of our states! Go back to the day you took the oath and remember why you took it. Will you stand aside while our rights are stripped one by one? Or will you talk about this stuff with people, make them aware, and let the higher ups know that you are not ok with this?
