Seems like most departments here don't allow for much leeway regarding service firearms...

Very few departments other than Fed. agencies....some agency heads can't get their head around that it is something "new", let alone being in an AR platform. Still a lot of "old" school thinking out there.
I deal with about 5%-10% of the population 80%-90% of the time...
I guess if the military cant fully grasp what they themselves developed, how can a civilian agency?
