    Default the beast...the KX3

Howdy -k-, I just bought a KX3 (flaming pig) as a "thread protector" for when I'm not shooting with my suppressor. I hope to more approximate the weight on the end of the barrel than with just a simple thread protector or some other lightweight compensator as well as some of the back pressure created by a suppressor. I understand that the KX3 does provide some back pressure and I'm hoping that the weight of the "pig" will be closer to the suppressor and lessen the POI shift that I expect will be created by the suppressor. My question is this: does the KX3 NEED to be "timed" or indexed to a certain position? Like I said, I plan on using it mostly as a thread protector when I am not shooting with my suppressor and eventually will have everything Cerakoted except the serial number.

No, it only needs to be timed for appearance with the engraving if you want to.
