Bushy lower and upper with Wilson Combat 16" stainless, Nikon Monarch 5.5x16x40 mounted on it and it comes in at just under 8lbs without mag.
My 16 inch AR Performance rifle with the MI 12 inch T series forend and Harrison's twisted three prong flash suppressor on the muzzle, and a Burris 3.5-10 X 50 scope and P.E.P.R. scope mount weights exactly 8.5 pounds. Without the scope and scope mount, the rifle weighs 6 lb and 14 ounces. It's the one pictured in my avatar.

So its sounding like the setup I'm looking at is going to run about 8-1/4 to 8-1/2 lbs. I was hoping I could get it under 8-lbs but I'm not sure thats whats going to happen. My rem700p with scope and tactical mounts is right at 9-lbs. It would be nice to get it under 8-lbs.

Good info Thanks. Wow their coming in heavier than I thought. I know I read somewhere about rifle weight and caliber ratio and for a 308 they were saying the 9-lbs was a good balance for that setup scope and all. I don't remember what it said about 6.8 but I was thinking they would be coming in lighter. Many of the rifles in this thread are over a pound or more than my bolt action. The chart listed has the tr22-2 at 20.7 lbs. I'm thinking of running the tr20-2 with is 12.8lbs. That's 8 ounces right there. But if I remove every thing off that list that I can replace or just remove, I'm still only at 9-lbs. So maybe my plan to build a 6.8 that's lighter than my 700 is just not realistic. Maybe I can get it to 8-1/2'

Bison 18in recon profile, spikes lower, DPMS guts, 10rd stoner mag. Gonna swap out the forearm for a YHM diamond quad. Should shave off 1/2lb ish. You should be able to get it under 8# with a 16in recon profile tube, plum crazy lower, ACE skelliton stock, and a light weight optic n mount. Greywolfs thread has some other good ideas to slim down a fat girl.

8.8 lbs. My built is a 16" ARP with, LaRue Mount, and 3x9x40 Leupold VX-R and 10 round PRI Magazine loaded with 110gr SSA Prohunters. With no optics it was 6.8.
My new build is PSA 18" SS upper and PSA lower with 15" troy vtac handguard. Magpul stock, Nikon Monarch 4-16 x 50 BDC and SWFA SSALT mount. Comes up to 8lbs. With mag and 5 rds, 8.5lbs. When I get sling and mount for it probably be just under 9lbs. Very happy with the weight so far.

I've got a T/C Arms Contender Carbine - composite stock, 16" bull barrel with a Leupold VX-3 1.5-5 power scope - comes in at around 7 lbs.
I weighted my 308 last night. It was 15lbs with no mag or ammo. I know it is heavy but I do not car I use it for long range from a bench or prone.
30HRT, what a 300BO wants to be when it grows up!
8 lbs with unloaded magazine...
ARP complete upper with SFR and 16" barrel
Spikes lower with Spikes enhanced LPK
Magpul ACS stock
Bushnell 3-10x40 Elite 3200 mounted on a Burris PEPR.
I have a friend that wants an ACS stock, I might sell him mine
and go for a slightly lighter option like the ACS-L or the STR. Neither of those were available when I put this gun together.
