Dragons, jumping them sucked too. I smacked the side of a 141 door with one, my risers were so twisted my chin was pinned to my chest. I was uN- spinning when I heard the first person of my stick land(I was push), I just happened to put my feet together then landed like a ton of bricks,
I woke up in the hospital 2 hours later, Dragons, lol
I was lucky the pilots hit the DZ, and I landed in sand, no broken bones, but sore ad hell.
I humped way too much gear, for way to far , including a vest, weight sucks and it always hurts. 13 mags isn't going to kill you. In SHTF, any engagement is bad, being able to break contact and run will have many advantages. Running of if ammo is bad mojo too.

I carry mine everyday for a long time, I like to keep my stuff streamlined, you start working in and around normal vehicles and all that bulk gets caught on everything. You can always carry more I guess but why if you dont need it?

Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property... Horrid mischief would ensue were the law-abiding deprived of the use of them.-Thomas Paine
