Congrats. So how are things going with the job? Start a journal now with all the interesting and funny things you come across. I wish I would have startd one back almost 20 years ago when I first started with my Department.
Yeah, what's up?

Congrats and welcome to the field! Just remember, most of your academy you will just keep saying "I cant believe they're paying me to do this."
When you have been there for a few years remember that part and think of all the guys selling cars and insurance for a living and revel in the wonder of your chosen career field. It'll get tough sometiems and you'll be really frustrated, just remember it all pays off in the end.
And now that you've earned the privilege don't tarnish the badge.
Aero Pricision flat top upper, Black hole weaponry stainless heavy profile barrel 1:10, Plumcrazy complete lower with six position milspec stock (proudly using an all plastic fire control group), UTG free float quad rail, UTG swiveling bipod, Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40mm scope, PRI QC muzzle brake, Cproducts 15 round mags, Command Arms Cheek piece bundle, UTG m4 butt pad, DPMS style single rail gas block
I'm digging up a post from the grave! I went MIA from here for a while. I got hired and sat around until august waiting for the academy. As of now, I'm supposed to swear in late January and I can't wait. I like the idea above of keeping a log of things that happen. So far life has been uneventful except for a couple of details and the comedy of being in the academy. I'm going to start making it a point to be back on here more, I miss this forum.

Good to see you back. Just remember, listen and if you don't understand something, ask!
