Default ITT PVS-14 Night Enforcer Gen3 PINNACLE Night Vision Monocular

UNITS NOW SHIPPING WITH FULL ITT TUBE DATA SHEETS!!

The ITT PINNACLE Auto-gated PVS-14 Night Enforcer Monocular is the night vision unit by which all other monoculars are judged. The same unit currently issued to US warfighters across the globe, the ITT PVS-14 uses PINNACLE image intensifier technology; the latest development in state-of-the-art, tactical night vision equipment. These units are factory built by ITT Technologies and have the highest performance characteristics of all the PVS-14’s we carry.

These Night Vision Devices allow the operator to complete his/her mission objectives without being blinded by sudden exposure to bright light while also protecting the image intensifying tube from damage. The super thin film (10,000 times thinner than a human hair) minimizes blooming from bright light sources such as flame, street lamps, or a dwelling’s lights suddenly being switched on, while the auto-gating diminishes power to the system, decreasing the amount of amplified light allowed into the unit. Traditional night vision equipment will “bloom” or “washout” when exposed to these conditions, rendering the operator temporarily blind. With PINNACLE night vision products, the user maintains his/her vision regardless of the amount of light they are exposed to. Another key benefit to PINNACLE technology is the lack of “halo effect” when viewing bright light sources. The resolution remains sharp even when the automatic brightness control kicks in. These units come from the factory with a standard 3-year system warranty and a 5-year Intensifier Tube warranty- the only night vision unit to offer this feature.

The ITT PVS-14 Monocular is the most versatile night vision device available, readily accepting all military head, helmet, and weapon mounts as well as a full compliment of other accessories. The ITT PVS-14 is combat proven by US Special Operations Forces and elite Law Enforcement units. Trust us when we say: it does not get better than this! All ITT Night Enforcers are manufactured in an ISO 9001.2000 Certified facility.

Export of Night Vision Equipment or related accessories (such as manuals) is strictly regulated by the US Department of State in accordance with the guidelines of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). It is a major crime to ship or carry US manufactured night vision devices outside the borders of the United States, punishable by fines and prison sentences. Ignorance of these regulations will not hold up in court. By purchasing night vision equipment from TNVC, you attest that you will not attempt to export or carry this night vision equipment outside the borders of the United States. Also, it illegal to allow a non-US Citizen to look through US Gen3 Night Vision Devices, even on US soil. Again, this is a crime punishable by fines and prison sentences.

Do you think the recoil from a 68 would be to much for the PVS-14. I found a place that listed G force for a given caliber and the 68 was about 20% more than the 5.56. But I assume they were talking bolt guns. I used a PVS-14 with ITT tubes last weekend and all I know is that I want one LOL. I did some reading on how these units don't hold well to heavy recoil.

Edit. It's looks to be more than 20%. From a list I found the 222mag (556 not listed) at 59000 psi has 333gs. The 68 at 59000psi is at 480gs

We always recommend 5.56 and below on any PVS-14 due to the body housing construction. Believe me we tried early on...See below. BOTH ITT and L3 from the get go NEVER have recommend ANY PVS-14 mounted on anything higher than a 5.56. We've had many recent meetings with both top tier engineers on this very subject. This from the actual manufacturers who spend millions of $$$ and years upon years of R&D testing PVS-14's for the Mil.

Some folks need to understand, ITT and L3 are not some backyard shop throwing a few thousand rounds down range and telling the masses you can bang away on high caliber guns. :-) The 14's were never designed NOR expected to survive long term on high caliber weapons. This is just crazy for anyone to promote this no matter what gee whiz gizmo snake oil they come up with. The units guts and threads are ALL plastic with THIN glue lines holding it all together.

So folks know, 2 years ago, we had 2 returns of 14's that were damaged from .308's, that had serious body housing cracks from repeated high recoil.

In closing, the Night Enforcers have the best ITT FACTORY warranty in the business with a 5 year tube and 3 year system. All units even come with their own UPS Pre-Paid mailing label and RMA tag already filled out from ITT in the unlikely event of warranty coverage. We here at TNVC do not even need to be in the picture, but of course we would ALWAYS be here for the customers warranty work if needed. But God forbid we're not here in 5 years, ITT FACTORY, the 6th largest Defense Contractor in the world will still be around I feel. ;-)

Either way, get yourself an IR laser for your 6.8 and let your light saber do all the talking. :-)

My thoughts exactly. I was with coondog when testing the 14. I had this same idea and tried a laser that I had, your right it was like a light saber. And my parents said video games will rot my brain (learned from call of duty).

But we where a bit concerned with the game seeing the laser. My cat goes crazy with that laser. What are your thoughts? Maybe green instead of red laser?
Next time you go to the range make some money. Just catch or retrieve your 6.8 brass and sell it.

Is there anything I can buy like a bulkier housing to make my pvs14 monocular more "68 resistant"? I'd really like to use it. I've shot it on the 556 with no problems. The 68 isn't much more recoil. I just don't want to damage the $3500 peice of equipment.
