This is weird. Hornady factory ammo lists 120gr at 2460fps. They are usually underpowered.
I wonder if H335 or Reloader 12 would work better? Just thinking out loud.

I get around 2700 out of my handloads. Makes them just as potent as the TTSX.

Brother , please be careful with that. That is definitely hot for a 120 grain projectile.

I think the Hornaday numbers are based on a 16" barrel. My stag 7 hunter is a 20 " barrel. Just had it chrono yesterday and it shot 2580 fps.... could be off slightly...was a cheap chrono unit......but so far its dropped dogs, hogs and deer. Keep shooting.

While sighting in my Spikes Tactical 16" upper with factory Hornady 120gr SSTs I choreographed several rounds and the average was very close to 2460fps. After sighted in I was getting 2" groups at 200 yards on a very calm day. The 120gr SST did it's job on the doe I shot through both lungs. She ran 25 yards and fell over. I could see the blood trail from where I shot 60 yards away. I was not able to recover the bullet it was lost in the tall grass.
