Ok EWP is logged in right now, so, tell me James, Kerry, Ang, or Mr. WJ what is going on? Is he going to be allowed back? I freaking hope so... There was no reason to kick him off, and this is coming from someone who has witnessed the entire history of his so-called "agenda." I've got a long post typed up and ready... Just waiting for the right time, but if he is going to be allowed back, then there is no point.
So, what's the story?

No he has not been allowed back. And as for any post then it is your personal opinion and as stated at the beginning of this thread. the matter of having him back is not up for discussion.

What you have witnessed is ONLY that information posted on this forum. You are developing an opinion after observing only a portion of what transpired.
But be advised...you have not been privy to Private Messages with EWP.
You were not privy to the agreement made between EWP and JT Jones which allowed Earnest to return after his first two bans...IF...he fulfilled the terms of the agreement made.
You were not privy to PM's which detailed Earnest's efforts to "borrow" private tooling from a forum vendor... without his knowlege... in an effort to produce a less expensive "knock off" product that would compete directly with the same vendor.
The information on which you are basing your opinion is the tip of the iceberg of what went into the decision to ban EWP. How can you state that there was no reason to ban him if you were not aware of all the facts that resulted in his ban?
Having said that...this thread was started to provide an exchange of opinions...so if you have a letter prepared with a different viewpoint....please share it with us. We are not trying to suppress opposing viewpoints. We want those who disagree to share their thoughts and not hold back. If from your comments we can better explain the rational for the ban, then everyone has a better understanding of why the decision was made....and why it was unanimous.

300 AAC Blackout Chambering Cancelled:
Some time ago, Savage announced it would be chambering the Model 10 Precision Carbine in 300 AAC Blackout. Since that time, we have tested many variants of this cartridge in various barrel lengths and rates of twist. This exhaustive testing left us quite unsatisfied with the accuracy we were able to get from the subsonic loads in this chambering. Accuracy with the lighter, faster loads in this caliber was actually quite good. But we believe the real value in this cartridge lies in the use of subsonic loads for suppressed rifles. Therefore we have decided to scrap the project.
It is our understanding that pushing these heavy, slow bullets presents challenges not found in typical loadings and that our experience is not unique. Subsequently, many in the industry have simply adopted a lower standard for accuracy for these subsonic loads. While this does seem reasonable and we don't criticize any in our industry that have taken this approach, it just won't work for Savage.
Our brand was built on accuracy and we are too protective of our reputation for building the most accurate factory rifles available. We would rather walk away from this opportunity than sell a product that requires an explanation.

IIRC when you are banned you can still log onto the site but you are unable to post anything. I'm not 100% sure of that though.
I also want to reiterate that the matter of lifting the ban on EWP is NOT up for discussion.

Wasn't aware of transgressions but I will certainly miss the reloading help. I had never reloaded AR cartridges of any kind and he was a big help in getting started with the 5.56 and then on into the 6.8 with tips and suggested work-ups. I used his loads as a baseline to see where mine were performing. I do hope that a sticky is placed on the relevant info and perhaps Paulo's merged as well into a single "note book" for reference.

Kerry,no EWP fan here. Never met or ever spoke with him. If EWP was really up to shenanigans then he got what he deserved. Then again on the surface it seems others are allowed to do what they want. So let's leave it as it is. EWP is gone and the moderators are going to correct other self agrandizing so called members, right?
Again, I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers and I'm not bitching or complaining. I have a lot of respect for the mods here, (Kerry you were one of the very first to help me out and answer questions on here, I still appreciate it) and its members. Just want to know a little of the "what" and "why." Ang said a couple posts back that Silvers was very close and that any pot stirring would cause a "hammer time." Why hasn't that happened?
