Default New Polymer Lower on the market

I dealt with NFA last year for my first upper and the armorer there took much time to return my calls and answer numerous questions. I was impressed with their responsiveness and product. They are now producing polymer lower units. I have no affilliation other than being a satisfied customer. Details and vids on testing of the new lower unit can be found here:

Looks like my Plum Crazy lower I have under my Nordic Components .22lr upper. I wouldn't trust it with anything bigger than that.
For $100 it's hard to pass up.
The 4.5# trigger might be a stretch. Mine I swear is 6# or 8#. Not the same company but they sure look similar.

I just compared the pictures of the LW-15 to my Plum Crazy lower. They look exactly the same, other than the Frontier markings on the Right side.
I gauged my PC trigger at 5#. It's nice and smooth.
I now have over 2k of 6.8 hot loads fired off of it and probably 5k of 5.56. Zero problems.
The LW is cheaper by about $40 though it seems.

The problem with the HK is you can only use a Hk upper on it

Not enough weight saving for me to go plastic, that and the straight trigger guard just turns me off, they could have easily designed the mold for a winter trigger guard like a Magpul style shape but instead they went with flat which just looks awful.

I assembled a couple of Plumb Crazy budget rigs for friends and about a year and a half ago using DSA uppers. The only real objection I have is the lower parts kit. The detents, including the buffer detent are all plastic as well. I think if memory serves the take down and pivot pins are plastic as well. Testing day, one of the builds was non firing with very little firing pin contact. I pulled the bolt group down and found a lot of lube on the firing pin. The whole group looked like it had been dunked in motor oil actually. I sprayed and wiped it down a bit and very lightly lubed the pin and critical areas. Voila! Apparently the plastic hammer/spring combination was insufficient to overcome the resistance of the oil. Next, the tip of the buffer detent broke off. IMO, get rid of everything but the stripped lower and it'll probably run forever otherwise it's a no-go. One more thing, The buffer spring supplied with the complete lower kit from DSA was completely dead after only a few hundred rounds. Again let me say this was not the Frontier unit but it seems reasonable to assume some similarities exist. If I get a chance to take a look at their product I will offer a new assessment.

Seems to be a re-branded PCM. I ordered my PCM lower from new frontier armory, it all adds up to me. FWIW, Ive shot plenty of 5.56 and 6.8 on that lower with no malfunctions, and no signs of wear.

They may have based their design and mold on the PC but supposedly this new one utilizes a stronger polymer and upgraded trigger group. I will be ordering a couple soon but I dont think I will used them as a step into and out of my truck or throwing it around the in the field as they do in the vids....at least not intentionally.
