Angry Is it just me having to deal with this?

It doesn't matter whether I'm using IE, Firefox, or Chrome on this site. The "connect.facebook.net" link fails to fully load, and to get the page's loading (which ever thread I'm wanting to view) to finish... I have to click onto the "X" to manually stop the loading of the page and view the thread.

Personally... that damned facebook crap can rot in hell. People have asked for over a YEAR now... to FIX the site's function with IE so that pix can be viewed, it continually falls on deaf ears with replies of "well... use another browser". Now, this. God forbid we be denied having to look at the lousy blue "F" next to the log-in page. Yeah... that's what's failing to load... and slowing the loading of this site. Seems to be just this site too.

I've seen that one too off/on. It comes and goes for me. I (for one) think it's way over-due time for some of the concerns of the membership to receive some consideration, concerning matters of the site's function. We may not be paying the light bill... but, without the membership, there IS no "site".

Now, I appreciate this place as much as the next guy does, and am one of the first to steer people away from non-sponsoring vendors, and TO sponsoring vendors (in support of this site)... and, I'm not the only one to have expressed a need for things to be addressed. I don't know about anyone else... but not ONCE has there been a "thank you for bringing this to our attention, we are working on resolving it." The membership should be able to enjoy the experience of being here, without having to side-step site issues and have continual frustration while doing so.

    RD,
I will make sure the programmer is aware of this thread if he isn't already. I often forget that there are still pic problems because I seem to be one of the lucky ones that don't have the issue.

    Constructor,
Not seeing the pics may be a blessing:

Ratdog68, I was alerted of this problem and immediately came to the office to look into it. Your voice is not falling on deaf ears. Nobody in the office was able to recreate the problem when we last looked into it and upgraded the forum software, so we considered the ticket closed. I apologize for not checking with everyone to make sure that was the case.

Tonight, I cannot recreate the picture problem on my laptop (Windows 7, IE 9). I also do not see the Facebook error message and I am on the forum multiple times each day.

I need you and anyone else having the problem to email me a screenshot of your desktop when you have the problem along with the following information... Version of Windows you are using (XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc), Internet Explorer version you are using (7,8,9, etc) and go to whatsyourip.org and tell me your IP address. forumadmin@wilsoncombat.com

If I have that information, I can probably track down the problem and fix it once and for all.

marinesg1012, I looked into your account and may have fixed the problem. You weren't in the right group. Try it now and let me know if that fixed it for you.

Guys... just let me know when you have problems and we can usually get it squared away quickly.
