    My understanding is that it's just like a pinned gas block. You just need a punch to tap the pin out. I have no idea how this would look with a fake can.

    You may be better off soldering the fake can on then you just melt off the solder and there's no drilling for a pin. But I've never done that either.

    The pin needs to be welded over so it can't be removed.

    Thanks for the clarification Todd. I never really looked into it so it's nice to have an actual answer on what it means to be "pinned".
