How does the 18" G barrel performance compare with the usual 20"PLUS usually needed to get the most out of it?

What are you calling the Chamber your going to use, the 6.5X39?

Was glad to see that AA or maybe just BA and his lawyers got their heads out of .....a dark place.

The barrels will be stamped 6.5G/264LBC because they will shoot both.
The chamber is more like Arne's original match chamber with a typical throat not that weird compound angle stuff that AA sells.
Early tests were shooting under 1/2" groups with Black Hills 264LBC ammo-123gr SMK.
The 18" is the most popular length, no one seems to care about velocity because of the sooper-dooper gravity defying BC of the 6.5 bullets LOL.
Don't get caught outgunned, step up to the 6.8mm

Yep. The saying is something like "start slow, finish fast", as the bullets don't seem to lose speed excessively downrange.

123gr bullets are generally in the neighborhood of 2500 fps from an 18" barrel.

I'm just waiting for H to start a Grendel sub-forum for load development, so I'll have a heads-up about hell freezing over...
