    Default Short barrels?

I've look back through this section but can't seem to find the old thread. I know you've done 12" barrels in the past, but I think I remember you prefer not to. I'm looking for a new barrel in the near future and wondered if it is still an option to have one cut down or if I should look elsewhere? Extra expense for the cut/crown is not an issue. Thanks.

I wouldn't mind knowing too. I have a 5.56 SBR that would be nice as a 6.8 SBR.

I got a 12.5" barrel from them not long ago.

How do you like their short barrel in 6.8? I have their Rogue Hunter AR in 5.56 and an ARP barrel for my 6.8 setup(both 18" though). BTW, Noveske will match(properly head space) a bolt to the barrel if you purchase both from them.

Haven't had a chance to take it out yet. I'll be taking it out either this weekend or next to get it sighted in for deer season.

Topped with a Vortex 2 X 7, it should be perfect for the GA woods. Really handy rifle.

Didn't see H respond. Is ARP selling any short 6.8 barrels?

I love my other two ARP barrels and would be happy to build my SBR with another one.

Seriously this is the busy season, it's all I can do to keep my head above water so I can't afford to spend time doing things that take up a lot of time. Anything done on the engine lathe takes time, probably 4-6 times as long as on the CNC and usually makes less money/minute on top of it. I may be moving the shop across country soon so I don't want to hire others and enlarge the business until that happens, if it happens. Sorry, just can't do it at the moment.

Not a problem H. Just wanted to make sure I gave you the opportunity before I went another direction. I'm definitely a fan of your work and want you to be successful.
