I'm assuming that this is a Daniel Defense rifle since Ambush Firearms is in Black Creek GA, and the monolithic upper on the 6.8 looks extremely similar to Daniel Defense's new modular rail:

I think they use a spc-II chamber but do not advertise it, and yes it a DD rifle, they thought it would appeal to more hunters it the rifle was not sold alone with their military stuff but on a web site of it's own.
I think last shot HTR talked to them about the imrpoved chamber and twist rates, and I asked a guy I know that works (worked?) for them ... however last I knew they were using Sammi... someone should kick them an email and ask.Originally Posted by EWP

I could be mistaken, but I'm thinking the monolithic upper is new territory for DD, as well as the seperate website for the 6.8 SPC.Pssst.... it's been up on the banner at the upper right since the move to this venue.
ETA- It's not clear to me if DD is referring only to the rail when they mention "monolithic", or the entire upper assembly. It might simply be the new modular handguard that also appears on their main website.

That is not a Monolithic upper. I can see the "seam" between the reciever and handguard. And read their wording carefully...it says "monolithic upper rail"
DD also has a 6.8 upper- it says it has a specII chamber...so i would assume that the ambush does too.

I wanted to order a DD upper but it seems they aren't on par with what Ranier Arms and ARP are offering yet. until I read this thread, I wasn't even aware that they offered the newer SPC chamber.
