    KLewis,
Haven't tried it yet, but I'll bet a Lancer L5 10rd will work unmodified with at least 8rds and would be easy to modify for a full 10rd....trim the brass to 1.560", they typically grow .005".

    Crashnrondo,
We haven't found a good solution to the boreguide, if you do, let us know here!

I've had good success with standard USGI 30rd mags. Up to 10 rounds feed reliably (TTSX and VMAX). Doing load development so haven't loaded up more than that yet. TTSX produces very nice groups, MOA at 100 yds.

When I got my 300 Whisper a couple years ago a member of the Quarterbore forums had a 7.62x40 that he was loading and shooting. If I remember right, the longer case length doesn't work as well with the real heavy 30 cal bullets, i.e. 220,240 gr. So if you want to shoot heavy subsonic, pick a 300 Blk or Whisper.

Getting a close to a year since the 7.62X40 WT launch.

    So How's it going?

How's it going? Well, we are shipping guns, barrels, ammo, dies, components and the 7.62x40WT is killin' stuff with with reckless abandon!

Great deal! Glad to hear it is working well, and great to see positive advertising from a respected company.

I may have to look into this for my next build, I thought I wanted a 5.56, but it may have to be a 7.62x40WT!

You must be busy if it took almost 3 months to reply! I found the threads of the progenitor of the 7.62X40 WT on ARFCOM then saw BW come along in almost real time at the time, and with collaboration and gumption brought it to market so soon! The magazine articles I read about it give the straight truth about its capabilities and don't claim in can shoot down main battle tanks flying at 100,000 feet altitude. IE GREAT exaggerations. Its very refreshing to see the truth about a new cartridge capabilities and its parameters. I think BW hit a home run on this one. If I could afford more guns and reloaded (still looking in to that one!) I'd get one.----- Oh and yet another thanks for acquiring the 6.8 Forums and keeping it at its great quality it has become known for. The more non vendor add placement may SEEM annoying at times with the wrong "Type" of adds in some places but that seems to be under control now, but some times I really see some thing I'm interested in and click on it. But hey then non vendor adds are a small price to pay for keeping this Forum going, WC as the owners are making a very good balance I'd like to thank them for that.

It has been a great round for me, accurate, and fun to shoot. I didn't draw any of the rifle hunts I put in for this year, ticked me off, oh well, wanted to give it a try on some deer. I see a lot of threads about the 300 BLK, well unless you are going to shoot subsonic suppressed, why go with the 300 BLK, get a 7.62x40WT. The ideal situation is if you reload, there are so many options as for bullets and powders, and Wilson also supplies a good selection of their loaded ammo. I have two 7.62x40WT's, building another for a friend of mine, and I want to do one with a 18" or 20" non-threaded, need to get that order in lol.
