Nice deer. Glad you are having luck with the 6.8.
First kill with my 6.8! This is an 8 point buck. First shot was high, in-and-out and it shattered his spine, he went down like a bag of hammers. Came up on him, once I realized I didn't hit vitals and he was suffering, I dropped one more in his heart, and it was lights out.
The reason it was high was that I was forced to make the shot left handed and I was pumped up on soooo much adrenaline I was shaking!
Both shots went in and out, saw one pea-sized fragment of copper jacket.
Load data of the round is:
Case: SSA
Powder: H322 @ 29gr
Bullet: Nosler Accubond 110
Rifle:
Stag Arms H5 upper. Primary Arms 1-4 lighted reticle scope in an American Defense QD mount with a Burris Reflexive red dot off to the side. Essential Arms lower with a drop in Timney trigger and a Magpul BAD. Yankee Hill light quad rail with a QD Tango Down vertical grip.
I LOVE THE 6.8!!!!
