Wow. Great buck and great video. Nice job.
Tagged this buck on the Tn. opener, 11/20. Load was 95 TTSX over 29.7 grns Rel 10X, Rem Brass, CCI 200, 2.28" OAL. Rig: 1/10 Spec II (Reamed) 16" BushMaster barrel, Stag Lower.....parts gun, C. McCormick, D.D., LMT etc., etc., 4.5X14 Leupold, P.E.P.R. Mount. Camera: WildGame Innovations AC3 Action Camera.
I decided that this year I would attempt to mount a camera and see how things turned out. Well, it turned out ok, on the opener no less. I caught this buck passing by my stand at about 7:15 a.m. He had no intention of stopping so I used a vocal call "yaant" to stop him, which he did only briefly enough to give me the shot at about 50 yards or so. Having the camera was not a slam dunk, you have to push one button to turn it on (it times out when not used in 30 seconds.......so timing is important!), then another button to record. An LED light comes on when recording. You're trying to get all of this right, mean while the buck is walking by! The sun was shinning brightly at my back, obscuring the LED, so I wasn't sure the damn thing was recording. Anyway, when I stopped him I snapped off a shot when the crosshairs hit kill zone. Turned out the hit was farther back than I wanted, but a solid liver shot. The 95 passed thru, leaving only about a $.25 size exit, but the internal damage and bleeding was substantial. He left a good blood trail for the only 25 yards that he ran before crashing. All in all, not a bad day in the tree. The video is on youtube, if you look closely after I pan over, you see him go down after the crash (just to the left of a crook in the tree out front of me). Note Smith Vortex in camera view, how cool is that!

what camera were you using? Great buck!
Real nice buck. Nice work with the cam to.
As noted in the text..... WildGame Innovations AC3 Action Camera. I bought it from Cabela's. It's pretty basic, but comes with various mounting options including what looks like a helmet strap which is what I used to attach it to my AR's forearm. Mounts are quick disconnect to the camera so you don't have to worry about hanging up the camera in brush. If you go to their website they have upgraded versions, but this one was simple and not a lot of investment for something to screw around with.
