Now you gots me to thinkin' !!! The A2 grip on my 6.8 is just WAY too small for my meat hooks, and I've been considering building it up with leather and then wrapping/stitching the whole thing. I like the idea of building it with this stuff and then doing a final "wrap" with leather. I wonder though... when it cools, how hard does it get? Does the stuff become more like a soft rubber grip (even after cool)? Never heard of this stuff.

Got some samples from them at SHOT last year, and it really is pretty neat for customizing gripping surfaces. One of our guys used it on his AR, if I have any pics I will post them.

Rat slipped in while I was typing. It stays pretty soft/springy after cooling.

I just watched the AR grip install video http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/lid=1...M4_Pistol_Grip

I would screw that up so bad. Definately see applications for it though. Pretty cool (well, after it cools).

Well I guess that answered my 1st post. Thanks.

Not sure I want to try all that, BUT if you can get it to work and look good (I guess really not that important) how could you get any better then a grip that fits "your" hand 100%.

Back in my Bullseye days we used to use wood putty/filler to customize pistol grips. Did this with the International Match pistols too.

This stuff would have to be better than the wood putty.
