Default One of our guys was just shot....

I got off of work this morning at 0700hrs., about 0900hrs., I was getting my kids ready for their swimming class, and they had breaking news of a bank robbery that they had in the city where I live. I guess the car fled and one of the guys I work with with the Sheriff's Office pulled the suspect vehicle over outside of the city and they shot him during the traffic stop. I heard he was okay....I guess he got hit in the leg. I don't have everything right now.

I guess LEO's are looking for one of them in a fielded area....

I think this is the first time in our agency something like this has happened....

If I get further I'll let you guys know. Some much needed prayers I think are warranted right now. I haven't gotten a call out ya, so I don't know what else they need.

I hope they catch the bastards! Preferrably dead as opposed to alive, it's much cheaper not to mention appropriate.

I hope your fellow Officer heals quickly and things return to normal soon for the families involved.

I hope the sentences for attempted capital murder are long in your area.
We are now seeing the gap between red states and blue states widen significantly. At what point do they separate?

One down. At least that one can get leaned on pretty hard to rat out the other one (if need be).

Thye already got the info on the other guy, apparently he is still holed up in the wooded/ field area. The SUNY school and several other businesses and public areas are on lock down.

They have over two hundred LEO's in the area from what I got so far.

Set fire to the wooded area and make sure nothing escapes.

Our thoughts are with Deputy Burger for a speedy recovery. Fortunately it was an extremity wound.

Keep us advised on his progress...

Law enforcement officers must understand that armed citizens are there to defend them when they are outnumbered…and to outnumber them, if they enforce unconstitutional law.

    300 AAC Blackout Chambering Cancelled:

Some time ago, Savage announced it would be chambering the Model 10 Precision Carbine in 300 AAC Blackout. Since that time, we have tested many variants of this cartridge in various barrel lengths and rates of twist. This exhaustive testing left us quite unsatisfied with the accuracy we were able to get from the subsonic loads in this chambering. Accuracy with the lighter, faster loads in this caliber was actually quite good. But we believe the real value in this cartridge lies in the use of subsonic loads for suppressed rifles. Therefore we have decided to scrap the project.
It is our understanding that pushing these heavy, slow bullets presents challenges not found in typical loadings and that our experience is not unique. Subsequently, many in the industry have simply adopted a lower standard for accuracy for these subsonic loads. While this does seem reasonable and we don't criticize any in our industry that have taken this approach, it just won't work for Savage.
Our brand was built on accuracy and we are too protective of our reputation for building the most accurate factory rifles available. We would rather walk away from this opportunity than sell a product that requires an explanation.

Will do, I'm going in at 2300hrs. As far as I know the suspect is still at large.

Thank God it was nothing more than an extremity wound. Still pisses me off.
