    Default 556 barrel & MCD

    Thanks H!!

I built this rifle for a good friend at Leupold. I took it out in the rain today and shot a few groups. Shoots pretty damn good if I do my part. These were at 100yards off of sandbags. Prone out of back of truck. I thought a LH upper would feel strange. I really couldn't tell the difference.

    Load -
    55 grain soft point
    remington 7 1/2 primer
    25.3 grains benchmark
    Lake city brass

    Rifle
AR performance 556 wylde nitro carbed barrel.
    AR performance MCD
    Viking/Troy Extreme handgaurd
    LH stag reciever
    LH stag M16 bolt carrier

    Magpul UBR stock
    Magpul Miad Full gip kit
    SSS Spring
    Geissle DMR trigger
    YHM lower reciever
    Ambi selector

that is a beautiful rig, if I ever build another 556 I want to use H's barrel and MCD with a rifle length rail and mate it with my 93B stocked lower.

Jason, is that the 11" or 13" VTAC rail?

That set up is almost exactly like my 18" 6.8 SPR.... exception is the MCD, and the Scope/Mounts.

I'll update later with new pictures. Good shooting Jason.

H: How much are the barrel/bolt combos for the wylde chamberings? I couldn't get that info earlier on the website when I looked. Thanks.

It's the 13". I haven't put the small rails on it. I'm going to let him decide where he wants them. I like the rail. I've got the same upper built in RH. I haven't had a chance to play with it. I will post some pictures when I do.
