    Question Any good magazines yet?

I bought my Armalite 6.8 when they first came to market. With it I got a Pri 10 rounder. I have also bought C-products 25 rounders and a 5 rounder. All of the lips have needed modified in order to feed well especially with softpoints. I may have just buggered them all up but when I started they would scratch the brass badly and not feed worth a darn.

Does anyone make a magazine yet for the 6.8 that "works out of the box" and does not require lip tuning?

    Thanks

Barrett 30-rd mags are fine out of the box. However, they don't allow for as long of an overall length as do the PRI mags...if you aren't reloading, the Barretts are good to go. But they are 1" longer than 5.56 30-rd mags, which bothers some folk.

If you are using GI webgear, they may not fit. But they fit my mag pouches alright (Paraclete double M4 pouch). 1 mag is no problem, 2 mags the flap is barely long enough (about an inch of velcro holding it closed). But due to the weight, who really wants to carry 8 30-rd mags full of 6.8 around on your chest anyways?

    Cool

Barrett mags are great, I just wish they made a 20 round mag.
PRI's have been good for me in 2 guns but not worth a crap in 2 others.
The older I get, the better I was.

If you are having problems worth 2 out of 3 makers of mags it could be possible you will have problems with Barretts as well... BUT, maybe the "new" designs of the Pri/C products will help, that is if the mags you have now are older.

Maybe there is something else you have to look at other then the mags. Do a search here for "failure to feed" and see if anything helps you out. I am sure if anyone agrees with me here they will post other things for you to look at.

My mags are all at least a year old.

I can't be sure on that, but I would think if you bought them from PRI you would get the new ones... Others could have old stock still in stock, maybe.

That info is all over the net and it is said never, because they would have to make the mag walls to thin.
